The Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program of Emory University
School of Medicine is dedicated to researching health care on a
global level and treating it on a personal level. The purpose of
their program is to help find improved treatments for depression
and anxiety disorders. Most of Emory's studies involve the
evaluation of a medication while others may involve
psychotherapy or other non-medication treatments. Their staff
includes an experienced team of medical doctors, psychologists,
social workers and nurses in the field of psychiatry and medical
research. Emory offers clinical trials at no cost to individuals
who participate in their research studies. All research is done
at their office which is located on the Emory University campus
in
Atlanta, GA. Participation in Emory's program is
confidential.

HIGHLIGHTED TRIAL:
Emory University, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral
Sciences, is now conducting a large, federally-funded study of
FDA-approved treatments for Major Depression. We are offering a
full psychiatric evaluation, MRI and PET scan imaging of the
brain, a minimum of 6 months of treatment, all at no cost to
participants. Every person in the study will receive either an
FDA-approved medicine or cognitive-behavioral talk therapy at no
cost. No placebos or experimental medicines are used in this
study. Patients who have not previously received medication
treatment for depression are particularly encouraged to inquire
about the study.
