New Book Release: Mental! In the Trump Era
Pierluigi Mancini, PhD, Chair of the Behavioral Health Services Coalition, CIT Presenter, and NAMI Georgia partner has authored a new book, available now on Amazon.
“We are living in a political environment where anytime the word “immigrant” is mentioned, it becomes a polarized conversation. This book demonstrates that recovery from mental illness and addiction is possible, even for immigrants in today’s environment—if the individuals are served in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner”.
These 10 stories, told from the first-person perspective, allow readers to witness each individual’s struggle, and understand the path that led them to find recovery. At the end of each chapter are suggestions for immediate relief of some symptoms associated with the preceding story, to assist individuals in finding their own path to recovery.
The book is available on Amazon.
