The NAMI Georgia Consumer Council development project is committed to helping people develop a system of support that will allow them to live lives of dignity and independence in recovery. Since recovery happens where people live, it is imperative that these systems be comprised of the natural supports in their communities.
This project is also committed to supporting the development of peer driven communities across the state of Georgia that understand, welcome, engage and nurture people in recovery from mental health challenges. In 2015, NAMI Georgia is stepping up to the plate and asking all recovery allies to join us in the implementation and integration of the Consumer Councils into our battle against the barriers that challenge access to long term recovery.
