About the Partnership
Jack and Jill of America members tend to be highly educated and influential individuals (doctors, lawyers, business owners, teachers, etc.). Chapter members use their skills and resources to impact their local communities in different programmatic areas. As a result of this new partnership, to fulfill their health program areas, Jack and Jill of America chapters will work with us to increase mental health awareness for African American children.
Is there a Jack and Jill chapter in my area?
There are 238 Jack and Jill chapters around the country so not all NAMI State Organizations and Affiliates will have a local counterpart. NAMI is sending a separate communication, with a contact list and ideas on next steps, to NAMI state organizations and affiliates that have a Jack and Jill chapter in their area. Also, you can check http://jackandjillinc.org/regions/ to see if there is a chapter near you.
If there is a Jack and Jill of America chapter in your area, we encourage you to take advantage of this great opportunity to partner.
