As Georgia NAMIWalks celebrate their 14th anniversary, we invite you to take part in NAMI’s largest and most successful mental health awareness and fundraising event in the country.

When you walk with NAMI, you join the movement to raise awareness of mental illness and raise funds for our mission to help individuals and families throughout Georgia.

  1. What if it rainsNAMIWalks Georgia is RAIN or SHINE!?
  2. When do I arriveWalker Check-in is open from 8:00AM until 9:30AM. The Walk will start at 9:30AM. We recommend coming early!
  3. Where do I parkPaid parking is available at two locations on Clark Atlanta University’s campus – $5 per car (CASH ONLY). Parking #1: Bumstead lot on Beckwith Street SW (closest to Panther Stadium) starting at 7:00AM. Parking #2: Parking Deck (156 Mildred Street SW – intersection of Mildred & Student Movement, formerly Fair Street) available 24/7.
  4. Is there public transportationGrant Park is accessible by MARTA. Visit for more info, or download MARTA’s On the Go App for scheduling information, real-time bus and rail information, service alerts and more. Consider Uber and Lyft as other transportation options.
  5. Where do I go once I arriveWalker check-in and all pre-Walk activities will take place at Panther Stadium located at 735 Beckwith Street SW, Atlanta, GA 30314.
  6. Can I register to participate on Walk dayYes, this can be done at Walker check-in.
  7. Can I bring donations on Walk dayYes, all donations (checks made payable to NAMI Georgia) can be turned in at Walker check-in.
  8. Am I responsible for picking up my Walk t-shirt? Yes, every walker that has individually raised $100 or more will pick up his or her own Walk t-shirt at Walker check-in.
  9. Is NAMIWalks Georgia a family friendly eventYes – Bring the entire family! Strollers are welcome on the Walk route.
  10. Can I still attend if I don’t Walk? Yes! Come and enjoy the festivities and support the event even if you don’t walk the 5K route. This year’s route will go through downtown Atlanta, circle the Georgia State Capitol and return to the CAU Panther Stadium. Unlike previous years in Grant Park, there is not an option to walk half of the route  — this year it is a full 5K (3.1 miles).
  11. Will food be available for purchaseYes, CAU food services will be selling breakfast items and drinks on the football field from 8:00AM – 9:30AM (CASH ONLY).
  12. Can I collect donations after Walk dayThe NAMIWalks Georgia website will be live for 60 days after October 6! If you haven’t met your goal by Walk day, you are encouraged to continue your fundraising efforts!

Driving Directions To Clark Atlanta University:

From I-75/85 North or South:
Take I-20 West. Exit at Joseph Lowery Boulevard. Turn right onto Joseph Lowery Boulevard and continue to Fair Street. Turn right onto Fair Street and continue to James P. Brawley Drive. Clark Atlanta University’s campus will be on both sides of the street.

From Downtown:
Take Centennial Olympic Drive past the CNN Center (Phillips Arena) to M. L. King, Jr. Drive. Turn west (right) onto M. L. King, Jr. Drive. Make a left onto Northside Drive. Make a right onto Fair Street (south). Clark Atlanta University will be ahead on the left and right sides.

Traveling From I-20 East (Westbound):
Exit at Joseph Lowery Boulevard. Turn right onto Joseph Lowery Boulevard and continue to Fair Street. Turn right onto Fair Street and continue to James P. Brawley Drive. Clark Atlanta University’s campus will be on both sides of the street.

Traveling From I-20 West (Eastbound):
Exit at Joseph Lowery Boulevard. Turn left onto Joseph Lowery Boulevard and continue to Fair Street. Turn right onto Fair Street and continue to James P. Brawley Drive. Clark Atlanta University’s campus will be on both sides of the street.
